Petapalooza operates as an umbrella organization which supports numerous animals rescues and shelters throughout Central Pennsylvania. We accomplish that goal in a few ways. First, we provide partnering organizations with supplies from our annual Goods Drive (watch for our boxes at locations during April). These things are needed to assist in their day-to-day operations (examples are food, cat litter, leashes, bedding and cleaning products). Second, we distribute profits raised throughout the year to our non-profit partner organizations. In 2025, we distributed over $4,000 in supplies and $6,000 in cash distributions.

This year we would love to exceed that figure.

Petapalooza was formed in 2012, with the goal of creating a super adoption festival. While 2025 was the last year for the festival, we plan to continue focusing our effort on enhancing people's lives with their animal companions. For so many people, especially since Covid, pets can be the only source of love and affection in their lives. Certainly, that pure, unconditional love is priceless and when we see a small child with social issues just light up when they connect with a pet all the hard work is worth it. Not to mention the value of service animals!
